Service Description

Spring Forest Qigong (SFQ) includes gentle and slow moving exercises that encompass both internal and physical energy alignment. Qi translates to energy, breath, or vitality, and gong translates to practice, work, or cultivate, so by practicing qigong you are cultivating and transforming the energy within your body. SFQ emphasizes the balance of Yin and Yang in life, which are the two types of energy that make up all things in the world and universe. The first part of class invites intentional movement, while the second part of class invites stillness in meditation. Most importantly, SFQ emphasizes the positive message of “good, better, best.” No matter how brief your practice is, it is still good. You can work towards longer practices, which makes it better, until you have implemented a regular practice in your everyday life, which is best. Room is kept at a comfortable temperature around 70 degrees Fahrenheit. Ambient calming quiet background music.
