Jessica Waytashek
RYT 200, Certified Health Coach, Wellness Coach, & Personal Trainer
Jessica has been in the health and wellness field for over a decade. She holds several yoga certifications and recently received her RYT200. She is also a Certified Health Coach, Certified Personal Trainer and Certified Wellness Coach with NETA. She came to love yoga somewhat reluctantly by challenging herself to become a yoga teacher to help with stretching and cross training for endurance running. However, as her practice grew, her love for yoga did as well. As she noticed the benefits physically and mentally, she committed to growing and sharing the practice in the community through community education classes, studio classes, and special events. She believes that living a healthy lifestyle begins with maintaining a strong and fit body and those come in ALL sizes. She aims to provide a welcoming energy, encouragement and accessible options for all.
Melissa Owen
CYT 200
Melissa found her way to yoga around 2007 as a way to cross train for dance in the off- season. She began teaching Powerflow ( a combination of yoga and Pilates) in 2009 while attending college. She obtained her 200 hour yoga certification, yoga extension and 50 hr yoga sculpt certification in 2014 from Core Power Yoga. When she returned to the Brainerd Lakes area she taught Vinyasa and Sculpt for Nisswa Yoga for about 6 years. After a two year break to stay home with her littles she is so happy to be back in the studio teaching again.
What began as a journey to maintain strength and flexibility for dance turned into a life-long passion. Melissa strives to create classes that are accessible for all ability levels. She values a practice that is strong and adventurous, yet mindful of what the body needs in that moment. Her goal is for students to feel safe to explore and ask questions and to leave more grounded and peaceful in body and mind.
